A girl's prerogative...

I've realised that I often don't know my own mind, but expect my husband too. I reserve the right to change my mind, but am still always right. Here's a little insight into a girl's prerogative...

My Mummy....

For Christmas 2003 Ben bought me a Radley handbag. Being me, I wasn't sure if I wanted it first (I sometimes take a while to come around to surprises!) but soon realised I loved it and indeed ALL Radley bags! My Mum and I had several conversations, in which she explained that she just didn't 'get' the whole expensive bag thing. Then last Summer, on a impromptu day-trip to Stratford upon Avon, we stumbled across a bag shop where I encouraged Mum to hold a few beautiful bags, to see how pleasing they were to the hand and eye. I believe that this was when the seed was planted. One dusky pink over body bag and classic brown handbag later, she is a fellow fan! Today I had the pleasure of a phone conversation to learn of her new purchase - a Radley briefcase for work. I feel very proud of her good taste, but more so of her excellent bargaining powers. Although really the credit should go to my Dad, who was the first to haggle with our friend Jacqui, of Jacqui's bags!
Hurrah for handbags!
